Aztec Gold – Pyramid Climb is an accumulator game where you set your initial stake, and the amount of potential gains obtained at one level becomes your stake for the next one. Going from one level to the other, you may accumulate potential gains and gems, but there is also a risk of landing on a bad luck position (see details below). At each level, it is up to you to decide if you want to try your luck and go to the next level or if you would rather quit the current game and cash in the gains accumulated hitherto.
Climb the pyramid level by level, and gather potential gains each time you proceed to the next level, but without landing on a bad luck position, which would be the end of the current game. Decide when you have accumulated enough gains to cash in rather than attempt to get to the next level.
Minimum initial bet: 10¢
Maximum initial bet: $6
  • Set your bet in the lower left corner of the game window. You can increase the bet by clicking on the + button to the right of that figure, or reduce it by clicking on the button to the left of it.
  • After playing one level without landing on a bad luck position, you can either move to the next level by clicking on a block of that level or click on COLLECT to grab your gains and end the current game.
  • Click on the PAYTABLE button to open a window showing the potential gains for each level of the pyramid, based on the current bet. The multiplier associated with each kind of gem is also shown, on the right hand side.
  • Music and sound effects can be toggled on-off by clicking on the / button in the top right corner of the game window.
  • The / button lets you change the view of the pyramid to get a closer or more general look at it.
  • Your winnings are paid to your Espacejeux account.


Set your bet as indicated above and click on the big central button to start a game. At each successive level going from the bottom to the top, click on a block to reveal what is hidden behind it. If it is a golden pyramid, you may either proceed to the next level or end the game and collect the running total.


If a block reveals a purple or blue gem, that gem is accounted for in the top right corner of the game window. When a sufficient number of gems is accumulated, a prize is awarded (a multiple of the initial bet), as specified in the paytable. The gems counters are reset at the beginning of each game.

The table below shows the number of gems hidden at each level of the pyramid:

The multiplier of the initial bet awarded based on the number of gems of the same color collected is indicated in the table below:

If a block chosen reveals a bad luck position, you lose the game, as well as any potential gains amount. However, you keep the prize awarded by the gems that you have found during the game, if any.

There are 2 bad luck positions on each level of the pyramid.
